As more than once collective negotiations get nowhere, NBA is facing with lockout of the whole season. It is reported that nearly 40 NBA players decide to sign contracts with other countries league matches. Because of uncertainty to the future, Deron Williams created a precedent that he made a contract with Turkey basketball team. In an interview,he pointed out that there would be more players choosing to go abroad to develop if the representing capital insisted on their opinions. Kenyon Martin who made a contract with Sinkiang yesterday is the fourth NBA player to join the CBA's new season league match .Except Earl Clark from Orlando Magic who has joined Zhejiang Guangsha, JR Smith who was teammate with Martin last season and Wilson Chandler all have made a contract with Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank and Zhejiang Guangsha, respectively.
Most of players who have left NBA choose European league matches whose level are higher relatively such as Italian league match and Spanish league match. In addition, there are also some players joined Russia. Among Asian league matches, only individual player took participation in Korea except those who have joined CBA. Magnum Rolle from Atlanta Hawks has signed a contract with LG club of Korea. These players are mostly free while those who have made a contract with NBA are allowed to return after this lockout.
Due to Chinese Basketball Association prohibits NBA players from working as a casual laborer in CBA and players who has made a contract with CBA must play the whole match season, so many NBA players are still cautious to join in CBA. But It is reported that there will be two or four more players from NBA participating CBA. The middlemen of those players are negotiating with the related club. However if going abroad becomes a tendency for NBA players, it must have an important effect on the international basketball. The international basketball association is ready to strike out a formula to decide whether it is necessary to restrict NBA players.
